The actions are heating up on the building site this week, I was told by SS that the plumbing rough in was done yesterday and today the brickies started bricking the porch, the front, the left side wall of the house, and also the front door jamb has been installed. I hope this pace will continue to completion.

Yep... love the colour of those bricks in the daylight!!! Looks great with the off-white mortar. You must be pleased with how they turned out, after all the dramas with Boral.

ReplyDeleteWe are please that the brick colour turned out good. We're glad that we upgraded the mortar to off-white because I can't imagine how it would turn out if we had the natural mortar (yellowy colour). It looks like the brickies are doing a good job but it's to early to tell until it is cleaned and have some trained eyes assessing it when we get our independent building inspector in to check at lock up.
Hi Paul, found the information very useful. How can we access independent building inspectors? Any pointers will be of great help. We are going with Blackheath as well
